Why Join SEFAA?
The South East Florida Apartment Association (SEFAA) is South East Florida's only industry-wide, nonprofit trade association developed to the needs of apartment communities, their owners, managers and suppliers. As many of the area's multi-housing professionals have discovered, membership in SEFAA is a passport to education, networking and business development.
Networking
One of the most important benefits of membership in SEFAA is the opportunity to make contacts with others in the multi-housing industry. The association holds monthly dinner meetings for those in Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties. The first hour of these evening meeting is devoted to networking, followed by dinner and one or more informative speakers who can help make your job easier and your business more efficient, more effective, and more profitable. Past meeting topics have ranged from Fiscal Responsibility and Florida's Landlord Tenant Act to Resident Retention and Preventative Maintenance, and others. SEFAA also offers another avenue for networking through an Annual Trade Show and Workshops. Each year a large number of the industry's suppliers gather together to exhibit a comprehensive display of products and services pertinent to apartment communities.
Educational Opportunities
An underlying philosophy of SEFAA is that the industry can be improved through education, and the association has taken the lead in offering educational programs to the industry. In addition to the monthly meetings and the Trade Show, SEFAA offers special seminars and classes to help you get and keep your industry certification. SEFAA can help you and members of your management team become Certified Apartment Managers (CAM) or Certified Apartment Maintenance Technician (CAMT), and other certification programs are offered as needed.
Publications & Communications
SEFAA also issues several important publications that can give you information to help you every day. In each issue of the association's monthly magazine, you'll find informative how-to articles written by top professionals, updates on association activities, national issues of interest, announcements of upcoming meetings, and much more. The magazine also includes a special "Buyers Guide" pull-out section to help you find suppliers to fulfill your service and maintenance needs.
State and National Representation
By joining SEFAA, you also become a member of the Florida Apartment Association (FAA) and National Apartment Association (NAA), which means there will be someone looking out for your interests in both Washington, DC and around the state of Florida. In addition, as a member of FAA and NAA, you will have access to other information and benefits too numerous to describe here.
