Becoming a SEFAA Vendor Member has a many benefits which will give you access to decision makers in the South Florida Apartment Industry. In addition to local benefits, your membership to SEFAA also gives you access to our State affiliate FAA (Florida Apartment Association) and our National affiliate NAA (National Apartment Association). Supplier Success Breakfast Meetings & New Vendor Member Training

Vendor Success Breakfast

Representatives from Scully Company, Lincoln Property Company, Pinnacle, Greystar, Cornerstone Residential Management, Camden, JMG Realty, Gables Residential; or other property management companies will give a presentation about their company and how best to do business with them. They will discuss bid procedures, decision-making authority levels, compliance aspects, business and budget cycles, and other valuable information for Vendors & Vendors. There will also be opportunities for Q&A and for personal introductions. SEFAA holds four Vendor Success Breakfast Meetings throughout the year which feature a different management company each meeting.

New Vendor Member Training

This program is held for our newest members and conducted by our veteran Vendor Members. These classes are held twice a year after a Vendor Success Breakfast Meeting and is geared to teach you how to be successful in this association.

Certified Apartment Vendor

The CAS (Certified Apartment Vendor)  program is a national designation program designed as an opportunity for Vendors to hear the everyday challenges faced by the apartment manager customer. The CAS program is ideal for new salespeople as well as veterans of the industry.

CAS Training Includes:

  • Management of Residential Issues
  • Risk Management
  • Financial Management
  • Fair Housing

Business Exchange / Reverse Trade Show & Management Auction

Each year in January we hold our Business Exchange / Reverse Trade Show & Management Auction. This event is set in a speed dating format where management company representatives set up the tables and Vendors have three minutes to meet with the management company to meet and inform them about what their company does. In addition to the one on one meeting time you will have, we also hold a management auction where you can bid on more time with a specific management company and their team of executives. 

Maintenance Mania

Maintenance Mania® is a national competition where maintenance technicians compete against each other in various skill-based games. The games are focused on frequent maintenance issues, plus one race car building competition!
Competitors can participate in events offered by local NAA affiliates to win various local awards. Local winners then have a chance to compete at the National Championships held at the annual NAA Education Conference & Exposition.
This is a great opportunity for Vendor members to support their local apartment communities and their hard working maintenance teams by sponsoring and cheering them on as they compete to be the fastest Maintenance Tech in the South and the opportunity to go on to the National Maintenance Mania competition. 

Annual Volleyball Tournament 

Every year in May, the apartment industry rallies their teams to spend a day at SEFAA Beach competing for the coveted 1st place trophy. Over 500 industry professionals attend the annual tournament for a day of sun, fun and healthy competition.Whether you want to cheer on your team from the shade of your beach umbrella or get in on the action and play, SEFAA Beach is the place to be in May. Unwind with your management team and enjoy a day of fun with your colleagues.

Multifamily Trade Show

Every year SEFAA holds one of the largest multifamily trade shows in South Florida. The SEFAA Trade Show is a great opportunity to showcase your product or service to Multifamily Executives, Regional/District Managers, Community Managers, Leasing Agents, Maintenance Professionals, etc.; all who work in the South Florida apartment industry. Each year the trade show is designed to bring maximum attendance and be a fun interactive event with Vendors and attendees. Only exhibiting Vendors are allowed to participate in this event.

Membership Breakfast Meetings

Like the Vendor Success Breakfast Meetings SEFAA also holds Membership Meetings. These meetings allow Vendors the opportunity to network with decision makers from apartment community/management company members. We bring in national key note speakers that speak on topics related to the multifamily industry and professional growth. These breakfast meetings give a Vendor member the opportunity to network and learn more about the industry.

Circle of Excellence Awards 

Each year in November SEFAA host The Circle of Excellence Awards. The Circle of Excellence Awards is SEFAA's annual awards gala honoring the very best in our industry. With well over 800 attendees, this is one of the largest apartment industry events each year and a wonderful opportunity to celebrate successes with colleagues from around the region. This is our largest event hosting 972 attendees for a full night of celebration.

Other Meetings, Events and Seminars

SEFAA hosts over 30 meetings, events and seminars each year that allow for Vendor members to network and market their companies through sponsorship packages. Take a look at our 2018 calendar to get a better idea of how many opportunities we have monthly for you to meet and network with prospective clients. 


Getting involved one of our sixteen committees is a great way to give back to the association and make deeper connections with management members. You will often work side by side with decision makers planning SEFAA related activities allowing you the opportunity to get to know them on a more in depth professional level. 

How to Become a Member

To become a member, please fill out the online membership application. Vendor Member dues are an annual payment of $499 plus a one time $65 new member application processing fee.
