Professional Bio
I am proud of the 35 years I have spent in audio and video production, the last 26 of which at Broward School's BECON-TV, where I have executed nearly every possible task related to field and studio production.
I am even prouder of the work I have done outside of the TV station. I have an entrepreneurial spirit, which prompts me towards new adventures. I spent ten years as a volunteer on the board of directors of my condominium, many of those years as president, where I managed a million+ dollar budget and lead with integrity and vision.
It was during this time that the seed was planted for MyGuestSpot, my parking management and virtual permitting software company, which now helps multifamily residential communities throughout the nation "take control of their parking".
I have volunteered for the past 15 years on the board of directors of the South Plantation High School Friends of the Theatre, the parent support group for the theater arts program at South Plantation High School. In this role I built their website, managed their social media accounts, video recorded their productions for archival purposes, created their newsletters, networked on their behalf and raised money for their program.
In 2017 I returned to my musical roots and started a DJ service called DJDean (I know, creative, right?) On the weekends you can find me performing at community events, condominiums and other venues where the goal is to celebrate life, spreading the joy of music and dance throughout South Florida.
