About the Program
SEFAA’s Mentorship Program is designed to foster meaningful relationships between experienced Multifamily industry professionals and emerging leaders seeking guidance, support, and professional development.
Through intentional mentor and mentee pairings, this year-long program provides participants with the opportunity to exchange knowledge, build confidence, expand professional networks, and strengthen leadership skills within our industry community.
Whether you are looking to give back as a mentor or grow through the guidance of an experienced professional as a mentee, this program is designed to create valuable connections that extend beyond a single conversation.

Who Should Apply?
Mentors
Mentors are experienced professionals who are passionate about supporting and developing others within the industry. Mentors serve as trusted advisors, sounding boards, and resources for mentees navigating their professional growth.
Ideal mentors are individuals who:
- Have industry experience and professional insight to share
- Enjoy helping others grow and succeed
- Are willing to commit time for regular conversations and support
- Value leadership development and community engagement
Mentees
Mentees are emerging professionals seeking guidance, career development, leadership insight, and meaningful industry connections.
Ideal mentees are individuals who:
- Are eager to learn and grow professionally
- Want to expand their industry knowledge and network
- Are open to feedback, guidance, and new perspectives
- Are willing to actively participate throughout the program year
Program Structure & Expectations
The Mentorship Program runs on an annual cycle officially kicking off August 1.
Participants will be thoughtfully paired based on factors such as:
- Professional goals
- Industry experience
- Areas of interest
- Leadership aspirations
- Career path alignment
Mentors and mentees are encouraged to meet monthly, with a minimum expectation of quarterly meetings throughout the program year.
Suggested meeting topics may include:
- Career growth and goal setting
- Leadership development
- Industry trends and challenges
- Networking and relationship-building
- Work-life balance and professional growth
- Communication and problem-solving skills
Program Timeline
Applications Open May 15-July 1
Pairing Notifications Sent By July 31
Program Officially Begins August 1
Program Cycle Conclusion July 31 of the following year
