SEFAA Gives Back: Volunteer Day at Lotus House
* Registration open until 11/3/26 at 3:00 PM (EST)
Event Details
Join SEFAA members for a morning of service as we come together to support Lotus House and the women, youth, and children they serve.
Community is at the heart of what we do, and this volunteer day is an opportunity for SEFAA members to step outside of our everyday roles, work alongside fellow multifamily professionals, and make a meaningful impact in our South Florida community. We will be helping the Lotus House with an array of needs including minor maintenance and painting, sorting and packing of supplies, and more.
Advance registration with Lotus House is required for every volunteer. Walk-ins cannot be accommodated.
Registration is a two-step process, so please complete Step 1 as soon as possible. Lotus House requires approximately 3–5 business days to review and approve volunteer applications before you can complete Step 2.
Ready to Volunteer?
REGISTRATION IS A TWO-STEP PROCESS.
All volunteers must first create an account through POINT, Lotus House's volunteer management portal, and complete the required volunteer agreement.
When creating your account, please use your business or corporate email address whenever possible.
After submitting your application, please allow 3–5 business days for Lotus House to review and approve it.
Important: Completing Step 1 does not register you for the SEFAA volunteer day. Once your account is approved, you must return and complete Step 2 below.
Once Lotus House has approved your POINT account, use the link below to reserve your spot for our November 6 volunteer day.
REGISTER FOR THE NOVEMBER 6 VOLUNTEER DAY
Once registered, you will receive a confirmation from Lotus House as well as a reminder before the event.
You must complete BOTH steps in advance in order to volunteer.
Parking: Parking is extremely limited, so we strongly encourage SEFAA members to carpool whenever possible. Free street parking may be available along NW 2nd Avenue and NW 14th Terrace. Please do not park in the Lotus House staff lot.
What to Wear: Volunteers should wear a shirt with sleeves that covers the shoulders, pants or shorts that extend below the knee, and closed-toe, non-slip shoes.
Personal Belongings: Storage is not available, so Lotus House recommends leaving purses, backpacks, valuables, and other unnecessary belongings at home.
*Event prices and dates are subject to change. For any questions, please contact events@sefaa.org.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Cancellations and No-Shows are still responsible for payment. If you cannot attend the event, please note that your registration is transferable for the same event. What is PAC?
The purpose of a political action committee (PAC) is simple: to raise funds and elect candidates who understand and support our issues and interests.
Why Should I Get Involved?
The ability of apartment owners to continue to provide safe, affordable rental housing to our residents, and deliver valued services to them – while doing this effectively, efficiently, and profitably – rests on the continued financial strength of APAC and NAAPAC. Our involvement offers us a seat at the table, increased credibility and influence, and of course continued success within the industry.

Other Ways to Get Involved:
Can't join us on November 6th, or simply want to do more? There are several additional ways to support Lotus House and the people they serve:
Halloween Drive
Help provide items for Lotus House's Halloween activities.
Most Urgent Needs
Purchase essential items needed by the women and children served by Lotus House.
Make a Donation
Help support the ongoing programs and services provided by Lotus House.
Host a Drive
Bring your company, community, or team together to collect essential items such as non-perishable food, baby supplies, clothing, hygiene products, and other needed resources.
Together, the SEFAA community can make a difference beyond the multifamily industry and throughout the communities we call home.
