Account Manager - Arbor Contract Carpet 

Position Description: Arbor Contract Carpet is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Account Manager. Our customer relationships are our top priority. You will be responsible for utilizing your sales and customer service skills to build an account base and facilitate a positive relationship between the company and the customer. Your primary duties will include traveling to assigned territories, identifying prospects, identifying customer needs, making sales presentations, specifying products, measuring, estimating, negotiating prices, and presenting proposals while following up on prospects and maintaining existing relationships.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of
    • the multifamily industry and the challenges they face to better serve them
    • our products and services to better serve, upsell and cross-sell clients
    • our systems and technology including communications, operating, measuring, estimating
      and bidding platforms to increase competitiveness and exceed client expectations

  • Build and continually grow a client base by
    • gathering information about specific clients needs and requirements to create a compelling
      sales presentation
    • creating customized proposals to meet specific client requirements
    • making compelling sales presentations to prospective clients
    • following up quickly on leads as directed by supervisor
    • following up quickly on leads generated by National Accounts Leadership
    • leveraging referrals from existing clients
    • participating in customer events
    • participating in apartment association events and trade shows
    • assisting in all promotional efforts as directed by supervisor
  • Maintain client base by
    • developing sales routes to maximize face-time with potential and existing clients
    • documenting communications and sales progress utilizing customer relationship management software (CRM) or other software platform to facilitate internal communication
    • building rapport with clients achieve long-term partnerships
    • utilizing our systems to manage client pricing, product selections, layouts and other client-specific requirements updated to meet their expectations
    • utilizing our systems to update client contact information to maintain effective communication between the company and the client
    • responding to client inquiries and requests in a timely manner
    • facilitating communication between the client and company to assist with AR, warranties, or other issues that may arise in the normal course of business
  • Develop strategic marketing plans with supervisor and internal teams to ensure KPIs are being
    met by
    • Generating progress reports for sales leadership
    • Gathering competitive intelligence in the field
    • Developing pricing and business strategies
    • Analyzing local market to identify opportunities

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Previous sales experience
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motorized vehicle
  • Positive attitude

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish
  • Previous sales experience in the multifamily flooring industry
  • Ability to read and comprehend blueprints
